KNM stands for the active, current music scene in Berlin’s metropolis. Along with other students of former East Berlin’s Hanns Eisler School of Music, Juliane Klein and Thomas Bruns founded the ensemble in 1988. It is now made up of eleven musicians from all over Germany, Great Britain and Switzerland...

KNM CONTEMPORARIES – Music in the Making presents the latest generation of international composers in Berlin. This four day event creates a dialogue between the emerging generation and the artistically striking positions of established composers Joanna Bailie, Martin Hiendl, Stefan Prins and James Saunders. KNM CONTEMPORARIES provides the stage for present day composition, listening and discussion.
